Poppy Seed Muffin Recipe

1 cup of sugar 

1/2 cup of butter 

1/2 cup of milk 

1 teaspoon of vanilla 

1 and a half cups of flour 

2 teaspoons baking powder 

1/2 teaspoon salt 

1/2 teaspoon baking soda 

1 teaspoon poppy seeds 



  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 

2 . Beat sugar and butter together in a mixer or by hand. Add milk and vanilla, mix well. 

  1. Stir together flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Add a small amount of flour mixture to batter, and mix until just combined. Add remaining flour mixture and mix until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips. 
  2. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. Makes 7 muffins.
