What are Hot Cheetos?

Hot cheetos, made by the company Frito-Lay, are spicy flavored corn chips. They come in different flavors such as jalapeno cheddar and buffalo sauce. The original recipe includes either white or yellow cornmeal, vegetable oil, salt, sugar, monosodium glutamate (MSG), annatto extract (to give the chips that orange glow), paprika extract for flavor, to name a few.

Hot Cheetos were first seen at sporting events, where it was common to give away free snacks. The snack got so popular that eventually Frito-Lay decided to sell them at retail locations in individual bags back in the 1990s.

How to Use Hot Cheetos

Hot Cheetos can be used for many recipes. First off, they can be placed on top of a pizza. This is considered to be the most popular way, and it gives the Hot Cheetos time to melt into the sauce. Secondly, they can be used as an appetizer. If you cut up hot cheetos and dip them in ranch dressing, they can make quite a tasty treat for anyone with a craving for something crunchy and spicy. Lastly, they can be used for a main dish. If you make pasta with hot cheetos and cheese, it is said to taste like macaroni and cheese but with a spicier twist to it.
